The Black Isle is perfectly placed to enjoy the north of Scotland and Rhivendell is ideal to enjoy long country walks or a swim in the burn that tumbles through the garden if you are brave enough.

You can walk or cycle from the house to the village of Avoch through the spectacular woodland of Rosehaugh Estate to collect your morning rolls and continue along the abandoned railway track, following the coastal path, to the village of Fortrose.

Local riding stables can offer tailor made hacks or lessons to suit all ages and you can reach the west coast within an hour so if you can bear to leave this delightful seclusion.
